Yesterday, my wife Katie and I went to my little cousin’s 1st birthday party. On the way to Fayetteville, God decided to teach me a lesson in patience. If any of you reading this has every driven to Fayetteville going over the Ridge, you are going to know exactly what I am talking about. Well, first off we were running a little late anyway because we forgot to buy Anabeth a gift. After we had left the house, Katie had realized that she forgot her contacts which she really needs (first example). So, we drove to TJ Max to buy her books (yes very educational….I know). We stopped back by the house on the way to Fayetteville to get the contacts. Then, we hit every red light possible on the way there (second example). After we got through Shelbyville, we finally reached the Ridge. There are only 2 opportunities to pass someone on the Ridge, and God placed a car coming the opposite direction during both of those opportunities (third example). By the time we got to the party venue, we were twenty minutes late (which was no big deal). I just do not like to be late to things. Anyway, the point is that God showed me that patience is an amazing thing. I took all of those lessons in about a 45 minute period in stride. I learned to go with the flow, and everything will happen the way it is meant to happen.

Photography….maybe!
March 13, 2009Just recently, I have had a growing interest in taking some pictures. While my wife and I were on our honeymoon last week, I started thinking about photography a little bit. She taught me a few things about her awesome camera, and I caught on very quickly ( shocker!). I actually took some pretty good pictures while we were in Key West! My interest has really grown in the past week…. I’ve been catching myself thinking about good pictures to take when I’m driving down the road or when I’m just sitting in my living room. Hopefully, she won’t mind teaching me some more, and I can get to practicing.

Realizing that I actually did it!
March 10, 2009I am an extreme newlywed of 10 days. I am sitting on my couch with my wife (katenabors.wordpress.com), and I am just now realizing that it actually happened. She can’t tell right now, but this is me sitting next to her consumed with happiness. I have the most awesome girl ever, and I get to spend the rest of my life with her. God has blessed me so much and sitting next to her confirms the biggest blessing of them all. The greatest part of our relationship is that God is such a huge part. We are growing in our faith and love for Christ together! The feeling is incredible, and I couldn’t imagine anything better! Until next time…….

The Initial Post!
March 9, 2009I just now caught on to the blog thing ( yes, I know it’s very delayed). My wife has had one for a long time (katenabors.wordpress.com) as well as my brother-in-law (sullied.org). I’m actually hooked now. Twitter (brettwhitmore6) is my new favorite site…besides Espn.com. More blogs are soon to follow.
